Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
108 AM CDT Tue Aug 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Min RH above critical 15%, good to excellent overnight recovery,
and fuel ERCs below the 75th percentile are expected to keep fire
weather concerns low throughout this week into next week. Gusty,
erratic winds and lightning may still result in fire starts, but
intensity and spread of flames is expected to be constrained by
high fuel moisture and vegetation greenery.

Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
