Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
102 PM CDT Sat Jul 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns continue to be minimal as ERCs remain below
the 50th percentile, Min RHs generally above critical thresholds,
relatively light winds, and excellent overnight recoveries. This
weekend, an isolated storm or two will be possible near the mountains.
Otherwise, most will remain dry. High temperatures are forecast
to be a few degrees above normal this weekend, before seeing a
slight cool down next week along with more precipitation chances
especially west of the Pecos.

Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
