Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
235 PM CDT Sat Jun 7 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Light south/southeast 20ft winds below 20 mph, ERCs below the
75th percentile, min RH above critical 15% except for western
higher terrain, and good overnight recovery will all yield low
fire weather conditions throughout the period despite warmer and
drier weather this weekend. Cooler weather and increased rain
chances during the early to middle part of next week will maintain
low fire weather conditions. Fire starts from lightning and
gusty, erratic winds are still possible for drier fuels over
western higher terrain.
