Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
235 AM CDT Fri Oct 18 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain at a minimum into next week.
Although 20-ft winds will be elevated at times through Monday,
cooler temperatures will result in minimum relative humidities
staying out of critical territory. In addition, increased low-
level moisture, a chance of rain over the weekend, and low ERCs
will mitigate fire weather concerns as well. Relative humidity
will bottom out at 22-74% this afternoon, and 24-79% Saturday.
Recovery overnight will be moderate to excellent.
