Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
345 AM CST Fri Nov 8 2024

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain low through next week, as cooler
temperatures result in generally higher minimum relative humidity
each day, 20-ft winds remain below criteria, and ERCs remain low.
The only exceptions may be Tuesday and Wednesday, when critical
relative humidity in the mountains combines will increased 20-ft
winds at the higher elevations for elevated conditions for a few
hours each day. Relative humidity will bottom out at 10-68% this
afternoon, and 11-41% Saturday. Recovery overnight will be poor
along the Rio Grande from Candelaria to Rio Grande Village, but
moderate to excellent elsewhere.
