Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
212 AM CDT Mon Oct 13 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain minimal through the next several days.
Above critical MinRH values, good to excellent overnight recoveries,
and ERCs below the 50th percentile limit fire weather risk. In
addition, low to medium rain chances remain in the forecast for
southeast New Mexico down toward the Davis Mountains this afternoon
through Tuesday morning. Warmer/drier conditions return across the
region by midweek ahead of another cool down during the upcoming
weekend.
