Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
1249 PM CDT Fri Aug 8 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Fire weather concerns remain low. While critical relative
humidity continues through this weekend for western portions of
the area, generally light 20 ft winds and ERCs near the 50th
percentile limit the dry conditions. Cooler temperatures and
better moisture return next week. A slight chance of thunderstorms
is expected for most locations, especially across the higher
elevations.
