Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
133 AM CDT Sun Oct 5 2025

.DISCUSSION...

While overall fire weather conditions remain minimal, continued
dry and hot conditions will increase the potential for IA. Fuels
continue to dry each day without any substantial rainfall in the
last 14 days for most locations east of the Pecos River. Winds
remain gusty today before decreasing the rest of the week ahead.
Low chances for precipitation return to portions of the area
midweek, but amounts look very light.
