Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
133 PM CDT Tue May 6 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Elevated fire conditions persist for areas west of the Pecos
River this afternoon as minRHs are forecast to be at or below
critical thresholds. However recent rain, lower wind speeds
(though sustained at 10-15 kts are expected), and ERCs at or below
the 50th percentile will be mitigating factors. Fire weather
concerns generally remain low after today. Highs will stay below
normal along with light winds until we heat up early next week.

Matrix product issued by the Midland/Odessa National Weather
Service Office.
