Fire Weather Planning Forecast for West Texas/Southeast New Mexico
National Weather Service Midland/Odessa TX
217 AM CDT Sun Jun 29 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Min RH above critical 15%, good to excellent overnight recovery,
a chance of wetting rains over drier fuels each afternoon and
evening, and light southerly winds will all yield low fire weather
conditions into the end of this week. Fire starts from lightning
and gusty, erratic winds in any storms are still possible.
However, vegetation greenery and fuel ERCs below 75th percentile
are expected to limit fire spread and intensity.
