...FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 815 PM CDT THIS
EVENING FOR WEST CENTRAL REEVES, NORTHWESTERN CRANE, SOUTHWESTERN
ECTOR, SOUTHEASTERN LOVING, WARD AND SOUTHERN WINKLER COUNTIES...

At 623 PM CDT, the public reported flash flooding in Monahans.
Between 1 and 2 inches of rain have fallen.

HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.

SOURCE...Public reported.

IMPACT...Flash flooding of small creeks and streams, urban areas,
         highways, streets and underpasses as well as other poor
         drainage and low-lying areas.

Some locations that will experience flash flooding include...
  Monahans, Thorntonville, Pyote, Wickett, Roy Hurd Memorial Airport
  and Monahans Sandhills State Park.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be aware of your surroundings and do not drive on flooded roads.
