Fire Danger Statement
National Weather Service Little Rock AR
420 AM CDT Fri Oct 18 2024

...Elevated Fire Danger Through the Weekend...

The forecast calls for dry weather to continue in the coming days.
Through the weekend, the combination of low afternoon humidity
levels, powdery soil, stressed vegetation, and a prolonged period
without rain will create conditions supportive of wildfires.

Burn bans are posted in much of Arkansas, especially across
southern, western, and central sections of the state. In the same
areas, there is a high wildfire danger according to the Department
of Agriculture Forestry Division.

There will likely be a lot of people outdoors given abundant
sunshine and seasonal to above average temperatures through Sunday.
Please exercise caution, and be cognizant of how easily fires can
start. Remember to follow local guidance before burning.

If a wildfire is observed, report it by dialing 911, or contact the
Department of Agriculture Forestry Division at (800) 468-8834.
