This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for a Large Part of Arkansas.

.DAY ONE...Today and Tonight

Some thunderstorms return to the forecast late this afternoon and
primarily into the overnight period as a cold front approaches
from the northwest. A few thunderstorms could become strong to
severe...mainly across far northwest portions of the area. The
primary hazards will be damaging winds and large hail...with a
brief tornado also possible.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Saturday through Thursday

Chances for thunderstorms and possible severe weather will
continue into Saturday as well...with the potential remaining over
the northwest portion of the area. The threat for thunderstorms
and severe weather will then move further east across the area for
Sunday as the storm system moves through the region. All hazards
will be possible Saturday and Sunday...including damaging
winds...large hail...and even a couple tornadoes.

Heavy rainfall will also be possible as several rounds of showers
and thunderstorms will be seen through Sunday. Rainfall amounts of
2 to 3 inches are expected over the northwest third of the
area...with locally higher amounts over 4 inches possible. This
rainfall could result in an increased flash and river flood
threat. Much less rainfall is expected across central to southeast
sections of Arkansas.

.Spotter Information Statement...

Spotter activation may be needed.
