Hot and dry conditions will be note across the region with
temperatures by Noon reaching into the low to mid 90s and peaking
in the upper 90s to around 100 degrees this afternoon. Heat index
values will range from 100-104 degrees this afternoon. Surface
winds will begin this morning light and variable, but will become
established out of the south around 5 mph later this morning, then
a slight wind shift to winds out of the southeast will occur early
this afternoon, but winds will remain light around 5 mph. Into
this evening, winds will become light and variable again. ERC
Percentile remains between 96%-99% today which will promote an
elevated wildfire danger.
