Expect another few extremely hot days on tap across the state.
Several locations will hit the century mark over the next few days
as high pressure intensifies over the state. Heat index values
will be dangerous during the late morning into the early evening
timeframe with most locations across the state exceeding values of
105 and a few locations exceeding 109. Surface winds over this
period will be mainly out of the southwest to west-southwest
between 5 and 10 mph; at times, locations may become variable as
the influence of a surface high pressure will keep wind direction
from being established at times. Min RH values over these days
will become lowest across the western half of the state where
values are forecast to drop into the mid 30% to mid 40% range.
