...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 930 PM CDT THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall continues.

* WHERE...Portions of eastern and southeast Arkansas, including the
  following counties, in eastern Arkansas, Monroe. In southeast
  Arkansas, Arkansas, Jefferson and Lincoln.

* WHEN...Until 930 PM CDT.

* IMPACTS...Flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying
  and flood-prone locations is imminent or occurring. Streams
  continue to rise due to excess runoff from earlier rainfall.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 644 PM CDT, Emergency management reported heavy rain in
    the warned area due to thunderstorms earlier. Flooding is
    ongoing or expected to begin shortly. Between 3 and 5 inches
    of rain have fallen. Additional heavy rain is expected as a
    severe thunderstorms begins to move into the area.
  - Additional rainfall amounts of 4 to 5 inches are possible in
    the warned area through Saturday.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

Be especially cautious at night when it is harder to recognize the
dangers of flooding.
