...The Flood Warning continues for the following rivers in
Arkansas...

  White River At Batesville affecting Independence County.

  White River At Calico Rock affecting Izard and Stone Counties.

For the Upper White River...including Calico Rock, Batesville...
Major flooding is forecast.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Please report observed flooding to local emergency services or law
enforcement and request they pass this information to the National
Weather Service when you can do so safely.

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

River forecasts are based on current conditions and rainfall
forecasted to occur over the next 24 hours. During periods of
flooding...Evening forecasts are reissued with updated rainfall
forecasts.

...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING TO THURSDAY,
APRIL 10...

* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Batesville.

* WHEN...From Saturday morning to Thursday, April 10.

* IMPACTS...At 27.0 feet, Flooding in portions of Batesville,
  serious flooding in Oil Trough. Water lapping over lowest sill of
  industrial park levee in Batesville. Wave action may increase
  problems. Levee openings should be closed. Numerous road closures.
  A 27 foot crest at gage on bridge equivalent to crest of 39 feet
  at the Lock One Tailwater staff gage. During the 2 flood events in
  2008, river crested at 27 feet in March and 26.4 feet in April.
  December 1982 crest was 29.3 feet.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:00 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 8.3 feet.
  - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage
    late Saturday morning to a crest of 27.0 feet Sunday evening.
    It will then fall below flood stage Tuesday evening.
  - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

...FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM SATURDAY MORNING TO LATE
TUESDAY EVENING...

* WHAT...Major flooding is forecast.

* WHERE...White River at Calico Rock.

* WHEN...From Saturday morning to late Tuesday evening.

* IMPACTS...At 36.0 feet, Many of the homes along the river bank in
  Baxter, Stone, and Izard counties will be impacted by either
  inundation or isolation. This includes homes in areas near
  Norfork, Calico Rock , Allison, Boswell, Mount Olive, and Guion.
  Numerous roads closed.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 8:15 PM CDT Thursday the stage was 7.8 feet.
  - Forecast...The river will rise to 7.9 feet just after
    midnight tonight. It will then fall to 7.8 feet tomorrow
    morning. It will rise above flood stage Saturday morning to
    37.0 feet Sunday morning. It will then fall below flood stage
    Monday afternoon.
  - Flood stage is 19.0 feet.
