.DISCUSSION...
Issued at 150 AM CDT Wed Jun 3 2026

Drier and cooler air is filtering into the state behind a front that
pushed south/SW into the state on Tue. NERLY SFC winds will continue
to usher in lower dewpts...and upper level high pressure will settle
over WRN TN this afternoon. The lower dewpts will allow for more
comfortable conditions today...and combined with the upper ridge
just east of the CWA...limited chances for precip are forecast into
this afternoon.

The upper ridge over WRN TN this afternoon will shift back east
tonight into Thu...and SRLY upper flow will allow a weak upper wave
to lift north over WRN sections. As this happens...a warm front will
lift north...with SRLY SFC flow returning. Chances for convection
will return to the forecast on Thu as a result...especially for WRN
sections.

Beyond Thu...flow aloft will become SWRLY over the region...with an
upper low lifting north from TX into the Plains this weekend into
early next week. This will keep SW flow over AR...and moisture
levels will remain high. As a result...an active pattern will return
to the forecast...with chances for convection off and on from
Fri...through the weekend into next week. While no major systems are
currently noted for any focus for organized SVR Wx and widespread
heavy rainfall...some day-to-day potential for some isolated SVR
convection may develop...as well as some locally heavy rainfall
which may result in some isolated flash flooding.
