Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC
135 PM EDT Sat Jul 5 2025

Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

High pressure will remain in control through the remainder of the
holiday weekend. As this dome of high progresses offshore,
southerly flow will lead to an increase in heat and humidity early
next week. Chances for afternoon showers and thunderstorms will
also return as a front gradually approaches from the northwest
and the remnants of Tropical Storm Chantal track near the North
Carolina and Virginia coasts. The front may stall nearby through
the middle to latter portions of next week, resulting in continued
unsettled conditions.
