Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC
1225 PM EDT Tue Aug 18 2026

Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

High pressure will stay in control across the Mid-Atlantic through
Wednesday, continuing rain-free conditions. As high pressure moves
off the east coast, a cold front will slowly approach the region
from the northwest by Thursday, triggering an increased coverage
of showers and thunderstorms. The frontal boundary is expected to
stall across the area from Friday into the upcoming weekend, with
unsettled, showery weather likely to persist.
