Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

A prolonged period of very hot weather is expected through the
middle part of the week as a large ridge of high pressure builds
over the eastern United States. A risk of showers and
thunderstorms returns during the middle to latter portions of the
week as a frontal system approaches from the north. This frontal
system meanders nearby toward the end of the week. Temperatures
remain above average into next weekend, which includes a potential
for daily records earlier in the week.
