High pressure will remain in control through the holiday weekend.
As the high progresses offshore, southerly flow will lead to an
increase in heat and humidity early next week. Chances for
afternoon showers and thunderstorms will also return as a front
gradually approaches from the north. This system eventually stalls
nearby through the middle to latter portions of next week.
