Regional Weather Summary
National Weather Service Baltimore MD/Washington DC
139 PM EDT Tue Aug 19 2025

Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

A frontal system will remain stalled to the south of the area
through tonight before pivoting northward Wednesday. Cloudy, cool,
and drizzly conditions will give way to possible showers and
thunderstorms Wednesday afternoon. By Thursday, this system pulls
away to the southeast as a cold front as Hurricane Erin passes
well offshore to the east. Weak high pressure returns over the
region Friday before a cold front slowly approaches from the west
over the weekend.
