Here is a look at the weather features that will affect the region
over the next several days.

A persistent ridge of high pressure over the area will weaken
during the second half of the week. This allows a frontal boundary
to settle toward the area through Friday with greater chances for
showers and thunderstorms. The front will lift back to the north
into New England this weekend, but continued hot and humid
conditions will support daily shower and thunderstorm development.
A stronger cold front may impact the area sometime early next
week.
