...The Transmission of All-Hazards NOAA Weather Radio Washington
WNG736 will Move on Thursday August 14, 2025...

Due to the planned destruction of the tower WNG736 currently
broadcasts from in northeast Washington DC, the transmission of
All-Hazards NOAA Weather Radio Washington WNG736 which operates at
a frequency of 162.450 MHz, will move to a transmitter on top of
National Weather Service Headquarters in Silver Spring, MD.

Therefore, on Thursday, August 14, 2025, between 10:00 AM EDT and
12 Noon EDT, the transmission for NOAA Weather Radio Washington
WNG736 will move 2.5 miles to the north to Silver Spring, MD. The
power will continue at 300 Watts, so the broadcast area will
remain practically the same. The programming and call sign will
also remain the same.

At the same time, the All-Hazards NOAA Weather Radio Silver
Spring WWF30, which was used primarily for testing purposes, will
be decommissioned and no longer broadcast.
