...Occasional gusts nearing gale force are possible...

The latest buoy data from lower portions of the tidal Potomac and
Chesapeake Bay noted northwesterly gusts around 30 knots. This has
been an uptick over the last hour. Expect occasional gusts
approaching gale force during the next couple of hours.

Inexperienced mariners, especially those operating smaller
vessels, should exercise extreme caution if navigating the waters
during this time.
