If conditions become unrepresentative...contact the National Weather Service. Please contact our office if you have questions or concerns with this forecast. .DISCUSSION... Cold and blustery conditions, with gusts of 30-35 mph, are expected today. Afternoon RH values will drop to around 30 to 40 percent, especially across central Virginia from the Shenandoah Valley through the Piedmont. Arctic high pressure centered over the Great Plains will approach from the west Saturday before settling near the Tennessee Valley by Sunday. A gradual warming trend ensues during the weekend into the first half of next week. Afternoon RH values will drop into the 25 to 40 percent range, but winds do not look hazardous during this time. A weak frontal system may impact portions of the area early next week. Chance for wetting rain is pretty low at this point, with the best chance up along the Maryland and Pennsylvania border. For Central VA, much less chance for rain with this system. Winds are expected to be light out of the SW, becoming more W/NW in the evening. We don`t usually forecast this far out for mixing height, transport winds and smoke dispersal, so feel free to request another forecast with the most up to date information in a few days. .TUESDAY...
