.DISCUSSION...
Behind an earlier clipper-like system, another round of breezy
west to northwesterly winds is expected today. Gusts across the
wildfire will likely be up to 25 to 30 mph through this afternoon.
This is accompanied by temperatures in the upper 50s and low
relative humidities. Skies remain sunny throughout the day with a
cool and clear night ahead.
A nocturnal temperature inversion will limit vertical mixing
overnight. Lows should stay fairly close to freezing with moderate
nighttime recoveries. Winds remain slightly elevated with gusts up
to 10 to perhaps 15 mph. Winds turn much lighter in nature by
Friday as high pressure builds over the area. However, this does
come with continued low daytime humidity levels around 25 percent.
A frontal system arrives over the weekend bringing a chance for
some rain showers. However, the chances for a wetting rain are
looking low at this time. On Sunday afternoon, conditions turn
gusty behind a cold front as northwesterly winds overspread the
region.
