.DISCUSSION...

Current conditions nearby at the fire show that overnight
recoveries were slightly higher than this time yesterday. The
closest RAWS is near Durbin, WV and had morning RH around 68
percent at this hour. Winds are also much lighter, with speeds
less than 5 mph at this time.

High pressure will build overhead today which will lead to lighter
winds today when compared to yesterday. The afternoon min RH should
be in the 35 to 40 percent range on the midslopes/ridges, but could
be closer to 25 to 30 percent down in the nearby lower drainage.
Good overnight recoveries are expected into the weekend as a warm
front approaches the region.

Some rain is possible on Saturday, but is likely not to make it
east of the Allegheny Front until Saturday evening. Even then, the
likelihood of a wetting rain (a tenth of an inch or more) seems
pretty low at this time,

Dry and gusty winds return on Sunday into Monday, with RH expected
to drop back into the 20s and 30s during the day. Monday will also
be preceded by poor overnight RH recovery Sunday night into Monday
morning. This makes Monday jump out as a day to watch in terms of
fire weather concerns, especially if there is very little rainfall
with the Saturday night system.
