.DISCUSSION...

Light rain and snow will continue through this evening. Snow
accumulations around a coating to one inch are most likely above
1,000 feet with some of the ridge tops in the northern Blue
Ridge Mountains above 3,000 feet receiving 1-2 inches of snow.

Strong northwest winds will continue through tonight with gusts
around 40 to 50 mph. The strongest winds will be above 2,000 feet.

Temperatures will range from the upper 20s to middle 30s above
2,000 feet with wind chills in the teens to lower 20s. Temperatures
will range from the mid 30s to lower 40s below 2,000 feet with
wind chills in the 20s and 30s.
