...FLOOD WARNING NOW IN EFFECT UNTIL 2 PM EDT THIS AFTERNOON...

* WHAT...Small stream flooding caused by excessive rainfall
  continues.

* WHERE...A portion of western Maryland, including the following
  county, Garrett.

* WHEN...Until 200 PM EDT Tuesday.

* IMPACTS...Roads remain closed due to flooding. Low-water crossings
  are inundated with water and may not be passable. It will take
  several hours for all the water from these storms to work
  downstream.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - At 714 AM EDT, the Cassleman River level at Grantsville is at
    7.1 feet and is still rising. Emergency Management reports
    high water along the Cassleman River at Durst Road, Jennings
    Road, Dung Hill Road, Bittinger Road, and Maple Grove Road.
  - Flooding impacts will continue, but no additional rainfall is
    expected through mid morning.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

Turn around, don`t drown when encountering flooded roads. Most flood
deaths occur in vehicles.

In hilly terrain there are hundreds of low water crossings which are
potentially dangerous in heavy rain. Do not attempt to cross flooded
roads. Find an alternate route.
