Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Numerous showers and thunderstorms will develop this afternoon across central VA before moving northeast through the Virginia Piedmont late this afternoon and evening. While not as widespread as yesterday, isolated rainfall amounts of 1 to 3 inches are possible in a one to two hour period.
