...FLOOD WATCH NOW IN EFFECT THROUGH THIS EVENING...

* WHAT...Flooding caused by rain and snowmelt continues to be
  possible.

* WHERE...Portions of western Virginia, including the following
  area, Western Highland and eastern West Virginia, including the
  following area, Western Pendleton.

* WHEN...Through this evening.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Low-water crossings may be flooded.

* ADDITIONAL DETAILS...
  - Heavy rainfall on top of residual snowpack will lead to
    increased runoff concerns. 1 to 2 inches of rain, locally
    nearing 3 inches in a few spots, is expected across the watch
    area today. The combination of the drenching rain combined
    with 2 to 4 inches of snow water liquid equivalent from
    remaining snowpack on the ground will lead to flooding
    concerns.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

You should monitor later forecasts and be alert for possible Flood
Warnings. Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared

  area, Western Grant.

* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers,
  creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
  Low-water crossings may be flooded.
