Waves flat where waters are iced over. ANZ500-212300- 434 AM EDT Thu Aug 21 2025 .SYNOPSIS FOR THE TIDAL POTOMAC AND MD PORTION OF THE CHESAPEAKE BAY... A frontal system which has meandered nearby has begun to pull south of the waters this morning. The cold front exits toward the Carolinas while Hurricane Erin remains well offshore of the Atlantic coast. Weak high pressure returns Friday into Saturday. A stronger cold front approaches from the west late in the weekend before moving through early Monday. Small Craft Advisories will likely need to be extended into Friday morning. Occasional gale conditions are possible over the southern-most waters.
