.SYNOPSIS...
High pressure will progress offshore this weekend. A strong
cold front will move through during the middle of next week.
High pressure will build back in behind the cold front for the
end of next week.

&&

.NEAR TERM /THROUGH TONIGHT/...
Skies are clear early this morning, with patchy fog starting to
form, especially in sheltered river valleys. Any fog will quickly
burn off this morning, giving way to sunny skies areawide. High
pressure at the surface will shift offshore today while upper
level ridging strengthens overhead. As the high moves offshore
winds will become light out of the south to southeast. Southerly
winds will transport a slightly warmer airmass into the area.
High temperatures today will be in the upper 70s and lower 80s
for most.

Clear skies and light to calm winds are expected overnight. Patchy
fog may form once again during the late night hours. Low
temperatures will be a couple degrees warmer than preceding nights,
with upper 40s to mid 50s for most.

&&

.SHORT TERM /SUNDAY THROUGH MONDAY NIGHT/...

hold strong aloft through Monday. Our stretch of dry weather will
continue as a result, with mostly sunny skies each day and mostly
clear skies each night. Southerly flow will keep temperatures above
normal, with highs in the lower 80s for most. Low temperatures will
generally be in the 50s. Patchy fog will be possible each night,
especially in sheltered river valleys.

&&

.LONG TERM /TUESDAY THROUGH FRIDAY/...
Dry and warm conditions Tuesday east of the Appalachian Mountains
with highs in the lower 80s. Increasing clouds with showers
developing in the Appalachian Mountains on Tuesday with highs in the
upper 70s.

A cold front will slice across the region Wednesday into Wednesday
evening. Additional showers and perhaps a thunderstorm or two is
expected to develop ahead of and along the front in any portion of
the region during this period. Temperatures will be close to average
due to cloud cover and showers. After the front pushes through the
region and high pressure from Canada builds southward Thursday and
Friday, dry conditions and chilly temperatures will ensue both
days.

&&

.AVIATION /07Z SATURDAY THROUGH WEDNESDAY/...
Prevailing VFR conditions are expected at the terminals through
Monday. Winds will be light out of the south to southeast
during the daylight hours, before going calm overnight in most
