...NWS Storm Surveys being Conducted Today across Parts of
Lubbock, Hockley and Cochran Counties...

The National Weather Service office in Lubbock TX is conducting
storm surveys across portions of Lubbock, Hockley and Cochran
Counties today. The surveys are in relation to the severe
thunderstorms that moved through the area yesterday afternoon and
evening, June 5, 2025. The storm survey teams will assess damage
from the intense straight-line winds, large wind-driven hail,
torrential rainfall and tornadoes that affected northern Cochran
County, southern Bailey County, northern Hockley County, southern
Lamb County and northwestern and central Lubbock County.

A final assessment including results of the survey are expected
to be completed and transmitted via a Public Information
Statement over the course of the next few days. We appreciate
your patience as we conduct the surveys and disseminate the
results, while also addressing any additional severe weather.
