...DEGRADATION OF SERVICE OF LUBBOCK NOAA WEATHER RADIO...

NOAA Weather Radio station WXK79 in Lubbock, TX, broadcasting on a
frequency of 162.400 MHz, has encountered mechanical issues
resulting in a partial failure of the antenna mounting hardware.
As a result, listeners may experience intermittent or frequent
poor signal strength, and at times the weather radio broadcast may
become completely unavailable.

this issue and is working to coordinate and conduct repairs as
soon as possible. We currently estimate that repairs will be
completed and the station returned to full operational status by
the end of April.
