Through 1230 AM, a cluster of thunderstorms will continue to move
slowly south from the far southwest Texas Panhandle and into the
far western South Plains, or generally along and west of a line
from Friona to Muleshoe to Morton. In addition to brief downpours
and gusty winds to 45 mph, frequent cloud to ground lightning is
likely at times with these storms. Rainfall amounts could approach
one inch nearest the New Mexico state line.
