This Hazardous Weather Outlook is for the South Plains, Rolling
Plains, and the far Southern Texas Panhandle.

.DAY ONE...Today and tonight.

A Red Flag Warning has been issued for the southern South Plains for
this afternoon from noon to 7 PM. Critical fire weather conditions
are expected to develop as west to southwest winds near 20 mph and
relative humidity of 5 to 10 percent are forecast.

.DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Wednesday through Monday.

Dry air, in combination with breezy to windy conditions, will result
in elevated to critical fire weather through much of the coming
week.

A high wind event, complete with blowing dust, wind gusts in excess of
55 mph and extremely critical fire weather, is expected Friday.

Sustained winds approaching 30 mph will affect much of the South
Plains Wednesday afternoon. Critical fire weather conditions are
expected as a result, and a Fire Weather Watch is in effect for the
South Plains, southwest Texas Panhandle and most of the Rolling
Plains Wednesday afternoon and evening.

Aside from Wednesday and Friday, elevated to near-critical fire
weather conditions may develop Thursday, Saturday, and Monday.
