A Wind Advisory is in effect this afternoon/evening for the South Plains and far SW Texas Panhandle. Sustained westerly winds of 25-35 mph with gusts to 45 mph are expected. Hot temperatures remain expected today across much of the area. Potential record-breaking heat off the Caprock is possible, with highs reaching the triple-digits in some locations. .DAYS TWO THROUGH SEVEN...Thursday through Tuesday. Low chances for thunderstorms may return to areas off the Caprock Saturday through Monday during the afternoon and evening hours. .SPOTTER INFORMATION STATEMENT...
