.DISCUSSION...
Fire weather concerns remain low due to light winds and minimum RH
values above 30 percent. Surface winds will become southerly after
sunrise, with speeds at around 10 mph. Scattered storms are expected
to develop across portions of the Caprock and Rolling Plains this
afternoon, with locally strong wind gusts and heavy rainfall
accompanying organized storms. The severe weather threat is low, but
cloud-to-ground lightning in rain-free areas will be possible. Storm
chances are forecast to last into early Monday morning, with RH
recovery above 70 percent area-wide.
