.DISCUSSION...
Observed ERC values continue to surge upward across the entire
region with values greater than the 90th percentile across portions
of the southeastern Texas Panhandle into the Rolling Plains. Very
warm temperatures will bring afternoon relative humidity values in
the teens area wide for Wednesday afternoon. The only mitigating
factor will be winds. Southwest winds in the morning will shift to
the south in the afternoon but with speeds remaining below 15 mph.
Although these conditions are not favorable for rapid fire spread, a
rangeland fire danger statement will be in effect given the forecast
temperatures, humidity, and fuels.
