.DISCUSSION...
Afternoon RH values will drop to around 30 pct area-wide
Monday afternoon whilst southerly winds of 15 to 20 mph are
anticipated. However, this will be dependent on the southward
movement of a cold front which should be close to our northern row
of counties Monday morning and the progress of the front continues
to show wide variability in timing. A potential scenario brings the
front into the northern row or two of counties just after daybreak
Monday with a brief window of northerly winds before southerly flow
re-establishes itself area-wide by lunchtime. Aided by the
reinforcement of thunderstorm activity in the northwestern South
Plains and southwestern Texas Panhandle, the front should begin to
move southward once again around sunset and bring northerly winds to
the rest of the CWA by Tuesday morning.
