.DISCUSSION...
Elevated fire weather concerns will continue this afternoon and
evening given drying fuel states and RHs as low as 15 percent.
Locally critical conditions are possible mainly this evening in the
far southwest TX Panhandle due to slight chances for thunderstorms
with dry lightning. Tonight, temperatures will cool slightly into
the 60s and 70s with recoveries around 60 to 70 percent. Friday will
bring similar locally elevated fire concerns, primarily off the
Caprock, where the hottest temperatures and lowest humidity values
will reside.
