.DISCUSSION...
Minimum RH values of 30 to 50 percent this afternoon, combined with
light northeast to east winds will help keep fire weather concerns
low. A sharp gradient in high temperatures are expected as a weak
front passes through the area with highs in the upper 80s to mid 90s
across northwestern counties and ranging into the mid 90s to lower
triple digits across our southeastern counties. There remains a
chance for shower and thunderstorms this afternoon, generally for
areas across the Caprock. The severe threat remains low, however,
locally strong wind gusts and occasional lightning strikes may be
possible with stronger storm cores.
