Northeastern Swisher County in the panhandle of Texas... * Until 1145 PM CDT. * At 939 PM CDT, Doppler radar and automated rain gauges indicated slow-moving thunderstorms producing very heavy rain across the warned area. A mesonet site near Vigo Park measured 0.40 inches of rain in only 5 minutes. Up to 2 inches of rain have fallen. The expected rainfall rate is 3 to 5 inches in 1 hour. Additional rainfall amounts up to 2 inches are possible in the warned area. Flash flooding is ongoing or expected to begin shortly. HAZARD...Flash flooding caused by thunderstorms.
