.DISCUSSION...
Near-daily record high temperatures are forecast today along with
southerly winds veering to southwesterly through the day as a weak
cold front passes and RH dropping to between 30 and 50 percent in
most areas. Isolated to scattered showers and thunderstorms are
also possible this afternoon and evening in southeastern MO/
southwestern IL. More widespread showers and thunderstorms are
expected Friday afternoon and evening, especially along/south of
I-44 in MO and I-55 in IL. Dry conditions will return on Saturday
before an active and wet pattern resumes into next week.
