Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL

A weak cold front will usher in more mild conditions today and
tomorrow, with only marginal humidity reductions. Winds will
switch out of the north today, gradually veering out of the east
by tomorrow, but staying fairly light. Mixing heights will be
fairly high, promoted by strong instability in the lowest few
kilometers, but with very weak transport winds, ventilation won`t
be too efficient. Temperatures jump markedly Friday into the
weekend, along with humidity. The hottest temperatures are
forecast across the southern half of Missouri and Illinois, with
slightly cooler temperatures and higher humidity further north.
Rain chances are virtually zero until at least Monday.
