Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL
National Weather Service Saint Louis MO
332 PM CST Tue Feb 4 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Northeasterly winds will shift out of the east Wednesday morning as
precipitation develops from southwest to northeast. Light drizzle and
light rain is expected from early Wednesday morning through Wednesday
night. Locations north of I-70 will be near or slightly below freezing
with a light glaze of ice possible. Otherwise, temperatures will slowly
warm above freezing through the remainder of the day with a couple
rumbles of thunder along and south of I-70. A cold front trailing the
system will bring cooler air to the region as precipitation drifts to the
south Wednesday night into Thursday. A few showers may linger into
Thursday over southern sections of Missouri and Illinois. Conditions
dry out late Thursday into Friday across the region.
