.DISCUSSION...
Overnight tonight through tomorrow morning, a round of scattered
showers and a few thunderstorms will ring some rainfall to the
area, but amounts will be highly variable and wetting rain is not
expected to be commonplace. Well above normal temperatures and
moderate humidity are expected tomorrow during the day and most
areas will remain dry, but a stray shower or thunderstorm will be
possible across the Ozarks and southwest Illinois in the
afternoon. Increasing humidity is expected over the weekend, along
with the potential for multiple rounds of wetting rainfall and a
few thunderstorms. The best potential for significant wetting
rain will be north of I-70 between Saturday night and Monday, but
rain will be possible in all areas. A cold front will slowly move
through the area sometime early next week, followed by a cooler
pattern and northwesterly winds.
