.DISCUSSION...
A cold front will move through the forecast area overnight into Monday
morning. High temperatures across the northern portions of the forecast
area will occur overnight and remain largely steady through the day.
Across the southern portion of the forecast area temperatures will be
able to warm slightly under the southwesterly flow before the cold front
marches through during the late morning to early afternoon and cools
temperatures. Winds will shift from the southwest to the northwest as the
front moves through the area. Light rain showers are possible (20-30%)
along the front as well.
The better chance for rain will be Wednesday into Thursday mainly along
and east of the Mississippi River where there is a 50-60% chance for
at least 0.10" of rain. A few snowflakes could mix into the rain overnight
into Thursday, particularly north of I-70. Well below normal temperatures
will settle into the region behind this system and last through the end
of the weekend with highs in the 30s to mid 40s.
