Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL

Very hot and humid conditions will continue areawide today and
south of I-70 on Wednesday. The mid-week will be characterized by
low mixing heights and low ventilation rates. A cold front will
move through the region Wednesday and Thursday. Thunderstorms are
expected with the frontal passage Wednesday afternoon into
evening. By Thursday, the heat will break and widespread highs in
the 70s to low 80s are forecast. Dry and cooler weather will then
prevail through the weekend.
