Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL
National Weather Service Saint Louis MO
539 AM CDT Mon Oct 6 2025

Moisture will return today with a 20-60% chance for rain across
the forecast area. The best chance for showers and thunderstorms
will be along and behind a cold front tonight. The front will
approach the area from the northwest and move through overnight
and exit the area Tuesday afternoon. A wind shift from southerly
to northwesterly winds will occur with the passage of the front.
Despite the rain chances, many locations will not see rain and
few will see meaningful rain above 0.5". Dry weather will return
to the region behind the front.
