Fire Weather Planning Forecast for Eastern/Central MO and Southwest IL
National Weather Service Saint Louis MO
357 PM CDT Sat Jul 19 2025

.DISCUSSION...

Thunderstorm activity will remain fairly limited through tonight
across the region. Temperatures and RH will be fairly similar
tomorrow compared with today`s, with the caveat that any rain-
cooled air would have lower temperatures and likely higher RH
values. The best chances for any thunderstorms tomorrow are along
and east of the Mississippi River, where up to 4.00" of rain is
possible in very localized instances. Mixing heights continue to
be quite high and, coupled with marginally-favorable transport
wind, will mix smoke well. Any smoke will take its time rising,
however, as low-level instability is not very intense due to the
higher humidity.
